A. Revision to Butte County's Mining Ordinance
Project Description: "In order to be compliant with the current Surface Mining
and Reclamation Act (SMARA: PRC Section 2710 et seq.), staff has revised
Butte County's Mining Ordinance (Butte County Code Chapter 13, Article In
which was last amended in 1993. On April 21, 2009, the Board of Supervisors
directed staff to present the revised mining ordinance to the Surface Mining
Aggregate Operations Committee for their review and comments."
