RE: 050-020-002 Building Permit No. B16-1534
Dear: COOPER DUSTIN C & CHRISTINE E
The Butte County Land Development Division has been notified that you have made an application for a
development permit on the above referenced parcel.
In order to be able to issue permits, staff is required to review each parcel to ensure that it was created in
compliance with the State Subdivision Map Act and Butte County Code.
In order for County Departments to determine if creation of your parcel complied with State Regulations
and Local Ordinances, we need copies of your parcel’s creation deeds which are the deed(s) that
created your parcel in its present configuration. Your parcel’s creation deed(s) can be obtained most
economically and quickly from the title company that handled your escrow for the purchase of the parcel.
You may simplify and expedite the review process by submitting a deed or deeds of creation for your
property as soon as possible after your application has been submitted. The review of your submitted
deeds will be charged as an hourly billing with a $163.00 deposit fee collected by our department before
we can start our review process.
In order to be able to issue permits, staff is required to review each division to ensure that it was created
in compliance with the State Subdivision Map Act, and Butte County Code. By providing a creation deed,
staff can 1) determine if the legal description matches the current configuration 2) ascertain if the parcel
meets applicable zoning requirements 3) determine if the parcel has sufficient area to meet
Environmental Health requirements and 4) verify if the parcel has the appropriate access to a publicly
maintained road. The exact date of creation and type of deed will also be verified, to determine the
appropriate standards.
In order to avoid any delays in issuing your building or development permit, please submit your parcel’s
creation deed(s) and deposit fee to the Public Works Land Development Division, 7 County Center Drive,
Oroville, CA 95965, at the earliest opportunity.
If you have any questions, please contact this office at telephone 530-538-7266 or by Fax 530-538-7171.
Sincerely,
William Bridgnell, PLS
