B1lard: At the Butte County Planning Commission meeting of June 27, 1.977 the Pla.1ni.ng Commission reviewed your rezoning application for property fronting on Los Verjel.s Road. You had requested a change of zone from "Aa5" (Agricultural) to "C--2" (Conmierci.al) to.allow the installation of restaurant facilities for your livestock auction. The Commission determined that the definition of commercial livestock which is ars allowed use in the "A®5" zone was bread enough to include an agricultural auction and that a restaurant and sanitary facilities were .acceptable accessory uses to the allowed conur:ercial agricultural use. They, therefore, felt that the zone change was not necessary: The Commission,.therefore, denied your rezoning request to commercial zoning without prejudice. -' When you are ready to begin building your restaurant facility as an accessory use to an auction, you should inform the building department that the. Planning.Corre�rission has reviewed. this item and made .this interpretation or show them a copy of this letter. As the Commission discussed the other night at their meeting, the restaurant facility would not be allowed unless it is used in conjunction with the pr;ncipal use.
