Re: Plan Revision #1, Plan Check Response #1
Below are responses to the plan check comments letter dated June 11, 2012.
GENERAL COMMENTS:
The. Original Design -Build Plumbing Contractor has been reassigned as the Plumbing
Designer. They will no longer be doing the actual construction. The new Plumbing
Contractor will be building from the current design drawings so we no longer have a
Design -Building Plumbing Contractor. I propose to remove the Plumbing Contractor listed
as Design -Build from our Cover Sheet.
NON-STRUCTURAL COMMENTS:
1. I will add a revision cloud and delta'3' around sheet A6.1 to indicate the sheet was revised
to coordinate with the metal building changes.
2. The 3 -hour rated wall is shown in elevation'T on sheet S310. I will correct the top of wall
height to +33'-11" at grid line 'D'.

ELECTRICAL COMMENTS:
El. The future fumigation building will be designed to span over the existing underground
electrical utilities.
STRUCTURAL COMMENTS:
1. The engineering calculations for the anchorage of the concrete tilt -up panels can be found
on page 15 and 17 of the Structural Calculations. I will add a note to detail 2/5420 to
indicate the shims plates are 1/2" thick.
Note: VP will be supplying the steel for the tilt -up wall anchorage (as indicated in detail
2/5420) but the responsibility for the design of the anchorage system is with NM&R.
2. The embed plates are noted on detail 6/S420 to be 3/8" inch thick.
