Building permits are not required to be signed by property owners unless they are personally performing their own work. The inspection was made as part of the rehabilitation project currently under- way in the Chapmantown area south of Chico. The dwelling is a double wide mobilehome .in good repair... There was no evidence observed in the mobilehome of roof leaks. There was evidence of water leakage around the water heater flue. The water heater and furnace compartment did not appear.to have adequate combustion air venting. Gas shut offs for both water heater and gas furnance were located in the compartment with the water heater, and .access was only available by unscrewing panel, on water heater com- partment. The only other safety hazards noted were improper riser heights on deck stairs and on rear exit door.stains. Rear stairs also lack handrails. Water heater has temperature and pressure relief valve. The mobilehome is served by community water, electricity and natural gas and a private sewage disposal system. There were leaks in faucets serving the lavatory sink in both bathrooms. In order to rehabilitate the mobilehome under this program the following will be required. 1. Complete the repairs listed on work write-up dated June 4, 1986 attached. Specifically items 1, 2, 4 and 5, and repair or replace leaking faucets on lavatory sinks and replace toilet flushvalve. 2. Provide adequate combustion air venting for water heater and gas furnace. 3. Provide emergency access to both water heater and gas furnace. 4. Provide gas shut off valve in gas furnace compartment. 5.
