A site visit on August 5, 2004, revealed that a travel trailer belonging to and occupied by a member of your family has been parked on Davis Street next to your parcel for more than the nine -day limit. Occupancy of the trailer as described above must be discontinued. r It is the County's .goal to obtain voluntary compliance with the Butte County Code. However, you should be advised that Butte County has an active Code Enforcement Program that provides an effective means of enforcement if voluntary compliance is not obtained. Enforcement may be pursued through the issuance of citations, fines and the recording of a Notice of Violation including a description of the action necessary to abate the violation. You have TBIRTY (30) DAYS to voluntarily comply with the above directions or to present an acceptable plan for abatement or corrective actions to be taken by you. The inspection was made as.part of the rehabilitation project currently underway in the Chapmantown area, south of Chico. The dwelling is a one story, wood frame structure with a composition shingle roof. The dwelling is served by community water, natural gas, electricity and a private sewage disposal system. The structure shows lack of maintenance, with evidence of structural weakness including deflection of exterior walls, obvious weakness of, south wall near juncture with rear add-on structure, and undulating floor levels throughout the house. Basement wall is cracked on north side and in north east corner. Plumbing lacks proper vents, electrical wiring is inadequate. Front and rear porches are in poor repair, with dry rot, lack of roof supports, improper stairways, and deterioration of floor on front porch. Space heater is unsafe with no exhaust flue or venting. There are no attic vents evident. In order to rehabilitate the dwelling under this program, the following will .be required. I 1 Make repairs and correction as listed in Invitation to Bid dated July 1, 1985, and the following. Provide -an adequate under -floor support system by adding piers and girders as required and replacing all damaged materials. Provide smoke detectors. - The following items, although not required are strongly recommended to effectively prolong the useful life of the dwelling and/or to make the dwelling more habitable. Provide continuous concrete perimeter foundation. 2. Provide a new cooling system. Most of the items listed will require permits and inspections by the Butte County Department of'Public Works. Permits may be obtained at 7 County Center Drive, Oroville, CA. Septic tank permit may be obtained at 196 Memorial Way, Chico, CA. All repairs, reconstruction, replacement or patchings shall be completed to the extent necessary to result in a finished product. This may require tile, linoleum, shingles, wallboard, paint, vents or whatever is necessary to accomplish the desired finished product.
