The following general violations of the Uniform Housing Code were observed: 1. Lack of kitchen sink in dwelling unit. 2. Lack of adequate heating facilities. 3. Lack of minimum required amounts of natural light and ventilation. . 4. General dilapidation and improper maintenance. 5. Defective flooring. 6. Defective walls. 7. Hazardous electrical wiring. 8. Faulty weather protection, lack of exterior waterproofing and weather proofing, broken and non-existent exterior walls. 9. Fire hazard. r. The dwelling is to be vacated immediately and to remain �time that until such a tithat the dwelling complies with all require- ments of the State Department of Housing, Local Office of Mobile Homes. Within TEN (10) DAYS of the date of this letter, the following is to be completed: Secure the dwelling to prevent entry or demolish the dwelling. The dwelling may not be occupied again until all requirements of the Uniform Housing Code are complied with as well as any additional requirements of the State Department of Housing, Local Office of Mobile Homes., to the satisfaction of that agency as well as the Butte County Health Department. In addition to this, an occupied tent was observed on the property. Discontinue camping on property immediately and remove assembled tent. Please be aware that Butte County has entered into a Code Enforcement Program that seeks voluntary compliance with the Butte County Code, but provides an effective means of enforcement if compliance is not obtained. If voluntary compliance is not obtained, enforcement.will be pursued through issuance of citations, fines and the recording of a Notice of Violation. The following is the procedure we recommend you follow: 1. Since you are planning to install an 8' x 35' mobile unit on the property, you should pay the fees for the mobilehome utility permit already applied for and proceed with this installation. The mobile unit must be complete with kitchen and bathroom facilities and connected to the existing sewage disposal system. (A demolition permit or reconstruction permit would be required on the building prior to issuance of the mobilehome utility permit.) 2. The Health Department will permit the existing sewage disposal system to be used if you provide a permanent and secure top on the tank and providing the system continues to function. 3. The existing building must be either demolished or completely reconstructed to meet code requirements. This building was constructed without permits and in no way conforms to code requirements and is sitting over the septic tank. 4. The existing building, if reconstructed adjacent to the mobile unit, would be considered a cabana and could be on an adequate pier and girder system.
