This was done in violation of. Section 19-5(c) of the Butte County Code -"Permits Required". A review of the design of the septic system, submitted by you revealed that the construction was substandard. However, due to the lack of area on this lot and lack of sewer availability, additional work on the system may not correct the substandard design and make the existing situation worse. The system cannot be approved by this department nor can a Septic System Inspection Certificate be issued. Be aware that law requires that this information be disclosed to the buyer at the time of sale of the property. Also be aware that any future transgressions of the Butte County Sewage Disposal Ordinance will result in immediate citation and\or filing of a complaint with the District Attorneys Office.
