In addition, your plans are routed to other regulatory entities including but not limited to Planning, Public Works, Environmental Health, and the California Department of Forestry for their clearances and approvals. There are some things you can do to expedite your permit: 0 Make sure your application is complete. 0 Be responsive to requests from County departments for any additional materials or requirements. We also inspected the inside of the converted garage with the tenant, Mr. Williams. In our opinion, this conversion is not a game room and changing room, but in fact a small 708 square foot house complete with a kitchen area. The designated changing room contained a dismantled bed and would function as a bedroom. The game room area was fully carpeted and contained a couch, chair, full refrigerator and double sinks built into a counter. With the addition of a microwave oven, this would be a functionally independent one -bedroom house. This parcel is located within the Chico Urban Area. It is therefore subject to the provisions of the Chico Septic system Prohibition Order. This order prohibits the construction of second dwellings on parcels of less than one (1) acres gross. Your parcel gross area is .98 acre. In addition, your SR (suburban residential) zoning also prohibits a second dwelling on this parcel without a Use Permit.
