INSTALLATION WOAKMANSHfP STANDARDS f
For Participation in `PGaridE Insulation Program
The Contractor shall maintain the following minimum installation workmanship standards:
A. To .sell, serve and advertise in a factual and truthful manner in the best interest of our
customers.
B. To faithfully initiate, complete and forward to PGandE an Application for Insulation Certifi-
cation form on every contractor install job at no cost to the consumer.
C. , To completely fulfill the terms of -a Sales Contract and to willingly carry out"'all'.other

responsibilities to which we maybe obligated' -'+ -�
D. To be. responsible in keeping sales and, installation pei•sonnei.trained to perform in a courteous,
truthful and,expeditious,manner.
E. To hold an active insulation contractor C-2 license and to employ only licensed home
improvement sales personnel as provided by the California Contractors License Law and to
provide to PGandE'the-names and license numbers of such home improvement sales personnel
upon request.
F. To offer for sale and install only those insulation products which meet all requirements of the
most current Federal, specifications and which have products claims consistent with values
I given by u'se of theASHRAE calculation -method.
G. To offer for sale or install only those insulation products which meet manufacturers perform-
ance criteria and have a flame spread of 25 or less. To provide on request of EGTA, appropriate
bag or -package labeling i.e., underwriter laboratory.
H. To agree to abide by all applicable decisions made by PGandE's I.n%ulation Contractor's Ethics
Committee in reference to my performance in meeting the intent of the "We Care Pledge" and
to voluntarily agree to the Professional Insulation.Contractor standards as shown below.
1. All blown type insulation shall be installed at least to the minimum depth and density per
square foot per manufacturers specifications.
2: -Al horizontal access doors or holes will be covered -with a minimum R-19 batt type
insulation or equivalent. V
3. All eave vents will be protected with baffles or a minimum R-11 batt type insulation. If
batt insulation is used, it shall be placed to allow air flow through vents.
4. Insulation material shall be held back a minimum of three inches (31 from recessed
lighting fixtures or as per local code requirements.
5. Where. heating systems vent directly into the attic crawl space, the vent itself must be kept
clear of insulation materials.
6. Where knee or skylight'walls exceed a depth'of,12", a minimum ofR-711insulation will be
installed on knee/skylight wells.
7. If TV antennas are moved during the performance of the work, they shall be properly
reset.
8. The customer's premise shall be left in the same condition as it was prior to the commence-
ment of Contractor's work, and shall be cleaned of any dirt and/or debris resulting from
performance of the insulation work.
