BUTTE COUNTY JUL 1 8 2003 DEVELOPMENT SERVICES Shortly after your 2970 Godman Avenue`visit I went to Oroville and spoke to BC associate planner Carl Durling. He clarified the zoning restrictions, gave me some forms and emailed me. the BC website with zoning ordnances. It became clear that we can't do what we thought we could at 2970 Godman. Fortunately, I own a commercial property on Mangrove Avenue (in the City of Chico). We are in the process of winding down operations on Godman and setting up our office on Mangrove so there will then be no employees at the Godman location. We received a letter 'from Francis'Properties dated 07/06/03 stating that he had made contact with Planning and it was made clear that the property could not be used for his business purposes (Reed Francis Electric). He also stated that he had property on Mangrove in the City of Chico and that he would move his business to that site. He further stated that no employees will be using the Godman location. Code Enforcement made contact with Reed Francis (owner) at the 2970 Godman site. The owner operates Reed Francis Electric. The Code Enforcement officer advised the owner that use of the dwelling as a business was not permitted. He further advised that employees could not use the dwelling site and indicated he would be back on 1/15/04 to verify resolution to this issue. Michael C.
