Dear Mr. Reed:
This office represents Butte County LAFCo. We have been notified by the State Board of
Equalization (SBE) that your check 4 555 payable to the SBE for the formation of the above referenced
County Service Area was returned because the account it was drawn on is closed. (A copy of the notice
is attached.)
Consequently, the County Service Area formation is not complete, and you are in violation of the
subdivision requirements. We are therefore demanding that a replacement check for $400.00, plus a
$10.00 returned check fee be sent immediately to the State Board of Equalization at the following
address:
