No Base Flood Elevation (BFE) has been determined on the map for this particular area so it was not possible to simply reference the safe finish floor elevation to an established datum and BFE. However, the Butte County Building Department has accepted various independent analysis that have established a "community" BFE in the vicinity. Most recently, a BFE of 206.6, USGS, was established on APN 48-01-51 and a Letter of Map Revision was obtained by that property owner for his residential structure. Your building site is located at a stream location that is similar to this structure, therefore the BFE for your building site is also 206.6, USGS. The parcel.for this home is approximately one mile southeast of the Chico Municipal Airport. Figure 12.1 in the Master Environmental Assessment for the new General Plan indicates that the site is outside the 55 Ldn contour. Cohasset Road is the main connector road in the vicinity of Sheep Hollow Creek Road, but traffic volumes are so low that no effect on the new home is. anticipated.
