The building was inspected for the purpose' of converting the second story office'.into a living unit. The. agricultural building was constructed without permits and inspections from this office (none were required), so we were not able to perform the required inspections during construction. We therefore made a reasonable visual inspection without going on the roof, under the building, or in the attic, and found the building appears to con- form to the intent of code requirements, except for the following items which must be done or resolved: Verify structural adequacy of building by submitting engineering calculations and drawings on trusses, foundation post loads, upstairs com- plete structural system, and foundation connections and.bolts. (2) Verify in field, conformance with approved structural systems from number one above, anchor bolts, plywood grades. (3) Obtain approval from Butte County Health.Department on water supply and sewage disposal system. (4) .Provide heating and water heating systems per code requirements. We therefore made a reasonable visual inspection without going on the roof, under the building, or in the attic,"and found the building appears to con- form to the' intent of code requirements, except for the following items which must be done or resolved: (1) Verify structural adequacy •of building by submitting engineering calculations and drawings on trusses, foundation post loads, upstairs com- plete structural system, and foundation connections and bolts. (2) Verify in field, conformance with approved structural systems from number one above, anchor bolts, plywood grades. (3) Obtain approval from Butte County Health Department on water supply and sewage disposal system. 1 (4) Provide heating and water heating systems per code requirements. (5) Provide a permanent landing at the bottom of the exterior stairway and verify stairway riser heights are within the 3/8" tolerance. (6) Provide a' 1HR occupation separation between the lower and upper floor construction, including supporting walls.
