In addition to framing operations normal to the fabrication and erection indicated on the Drawings, install wood block- ing and backing required for the work of other trades. Install blocking as required to support finish hardware, and firestopping to cut off all concealed draft openings (both vertical and horizontal), and to form an effective barrier between stories and between top story and roof space. It shall be used in specific locations, as follows: A. In exterior or interior stud walls, at ceiling and floor levels. B. In all stud walls and partitions, including furred spaces, so placed that the maximum distance of any concealed space is not over 10'-0 C. Around top, bottom, sides and ends of sliding door pockets. D. In spaces between chimneys and wood framing, loose non-combustible supports, or a metal collar tightly fitted to the chimney and nailed to the wood framing shall be used. E.
