Dear Sirs,
Excavations around the perimeter of the existing foundation show the footing to bear T' below the existing
grade. It was originally proposed to underpin this footing, however due to the light loading conditions it
appears that the existing footing is (& has been) capable of supporting the structure above, as shown by
the attached calculation using a bearing capacity of 500psf.
With this in mind we wish to make an alteration to the original application for a permit & omit the alteration
work to the perimeter footing.
