As of the date of this letter, the. followinglviolations still exist: Butte County Code Section 11-11 - But It shall be unlawful for any person to engage in the business of secondhand dealer in the unincorporated area of the County without first obtaining a License. County Code Section 11-1 Definition'- Secondhand efinition - Secondhand dealer is defined to be a person with a fixed place of business in the unincorporated area of the County, who conducts, manages, or carries on the business of buying, selling, or otherwise dealing in miscellaneous secondhand goods, wares or merchandise which have been previously used or sold to a consumer including antiques. Conducting a continuous yard sale is defined as a secondhand dealers business which is not permitted in the R-1 (Residential) zoning and requires a license to operate. Two (2) yard sales in a calendar year is considered a reasonable use and not defined as conducting a business. ButtelCounty Code Section 24-72 - (Agricultural) Zone. ButtelCounty Code Section 24-64 - 1 use of land used within a zoned district not ecifically authorized or permitted by the regulations e permitted.
