Cut 14%2 inch diameter into the wall. 2. Insert black painted half of Wall Thimble into hole. Insert two 1 inch wood screws into holes on flange of black section and tighten against wall. 3. Black pipe has 4 pre -punched holes. Use 1 inch roofing nails in these holes to secure each side to wall studs. Do not pound black metal edge out of round shape. 4. Galvanized section goes on outside of wall and slips through the wall hole into the inside of the black section (except with unusualy thick walls the two sections may be separated). 5. Use nails or screws in two pre -punched holes in galvanized section and tighten flush against exterior wall. Apply mastic to make watertight. CAUTION: This adjustable wall thimble is forthe trim and spacing of smokepipe and Class A chimney components required for through -the -wall installations. It must never be used for wall penetrations through combustible materials without an appropriate length of Class A factory built chimney inside of the wall thimble. For optimum convenience and ease of installation, we recommend the Dura -Chimney adjustable chimney length. 6.
