1. Proceed to install chimney and storm collar,
following the standard installation instructions that
come with the fireplace. After these steps have
been taken, installation of the Round Top Long -
Classic top can proceed. The Round Top Long -
Classic top comes completely assembled for ease
of installation. i
2. First, insert the stainless steel flue pipe of the top 7
into the flue pipe of the double-wall chimney.
Make certain that this pipe is inserted far enough
to allow the outer section to cover the end of the r
outer double-wall pipe.
10' Rule - If chimney is within 10' of roof peak,
the top should extend a minimum of 2'.above the
peak. When further than 10' from the roof peak, the
top should extend 2` higher than the closest point
horizontally 10' away.
3. Entire top assembly can be lowered if necessary.
Six inches of adjustment is designed into the
top assembly. Secure to double=wall,`chimney
with screws provided. Holes, will also' . Ave to be
drilled into chimney to accept the screws, use
1/8 inch drill.
