With reference to the above subject and your letter dated December 3, 1988,
we do not have .a permit record to install a fireplace insert at 49 Sun Cloud
Circle in Oroville.
If the insert is homemade, we would not issue a permit to install it, so
it should be removed.
If you decide to install another insert, please obtain a listed unit and
a permit and inspection from us for the installation.

In July of 1987, we bought a home located at 4.9 Suri
Cloud Circle from Martha Adams. The Parcel number is
36-25-26.
We recently asked the Sunshine Chimney Sweep Co. to
come out and clean our chimney and fireplace insert.
They told us they woul(j not clean it as it was very
unsafe and a fire hazard. They said the insert was
probably put in illegally as it was home made.
Could you please tell us if there was ever a permit
issued to Martha Adams or anyone else at the above
Parcel number`�'for a fireplace insert?.
