The above referenced property is located outside of the
Wyman's Ravine 100 year flood zone on the currently
applicable maps. The owner's application for a Building
Permit to locate a mobile home pad on this property should
be approved.
The attached map shows the location of the intended mobile
home pad, the existing residence, and the adjacent
watercourse. The streambed elevation at the south east
corner of lot is approximately 169 feet. The proposed
mobile home pad at elevation 178 feet is 9 feet above the
creek flowline. The Wyman Ravine Drainage Study estimated
the 100 year flow in this stream to be about 2700 cubic
feet per second. The existing conditions of topography in
this area are such that this flow can be accomodated with a
water surface elevation at or below 175 feet.
It is my opinion that the 100 year flood will present no
hazard to the construction of a mobile home pad at the
proposed location.
