Butte County Assessor's records indicate that you own or control the property. . On December 21, 2005, an inspection was made regarding the complaint and the following conditions were observed which are in 'violation of the California Health and Safety Code, • Section 17920.3 (a) 6, (b) 2, (d); which pose health and safety hazards to the occupants and render the dwelling substandard. This letter is your thirty (30) day warning letter to correct or abate the following violation. Any building or portion thereof including any dwelling unit, guest room or suite of rooms, or the premises on which the same is located, in which there exists any of the following listed, conditions to an extent that endangers the life, limb, health, property, safety, or welfare of the public or the occupants thereof shall be deemed and hereby is declared to be a substandard building: - 1. Specifically, the violations include: At the time the above -referenced property becomes vacant, it shall not be occupied until all violations are corrected. It is the County's goal to obtain voluntary compliance with the California Health and Safety Code. It shall be unlawful for any person to construct, maintain or use any sewage disposal system which results in any of the following: (a) Sewage overflowing on to any lands whatever. (b) Sewage emptying, flowing, seeping or draining into any stream, spring, river, lake or other waters within the County. (c) Sewage being accessible to rodents, insects or humans. Butte County Code, Chapter 19 - Sewage Disposal. Sewage, as used in this Chapter, includes any and all waste substances, liquid or solid, associated with human habitation; this includes what is commonly referred to as gray water. It is unlawful for any person to maintain, occupy or use any building not provided with a sewage disposal system which disposes of sewage in a sanitary manner. Chapter 19 requires that prior to any dwelling or building being constructed or occupied, that plans for the means of sewage disposal be submitted to the health officer for his or her approval and that a permit be obtained for any required sewage disposal work. It is the County's goal to obtain voluntary compliance with the California Health and Safety Code. However, you should be advised that Butte County has an active code enforcement program which provides an effective means of enforcement. A re -inspection will be made to determine compliance. If voluntary compliance with this notice is not accomplished by correction of the above -referenced violations, enforcement may be pursued through the issuance of a citation to appear in the Butte County Municipal Court.
