We can only refund the remaining balance after deducting actual expenses incurred in the processing of a tentative parcel map request. In this case, we processed your project up to the point where it pias ready for public hearing, which included preparation of an initial study and review of 'the proposal, plus,,-1uplicating and mailing costs. The property is located apprtiki- "telt' 600 feel south of Lower Honcut Road, on the east side of Second Street, Honcut area. The General Flan designation is Lour Density Residential; the present stoning is A-2 (General),. The site is characterized by relatively level terrain with a slight slope to the east. Annual grasses and some scattered trees (oak and landscape) are on the site and in the vicinity. Soils are classified'” as Rocklin fine sandy loam. These soils have a relatively shallow, effective depth underlain by a clay layers at 1 to 2 feet in depth and a hardpan iayerlat ids to 3 feet in depth.. The surrounding area is rural residential, in nature. The following impacts and concerns have been identified for this land division. : ib. 3b Compaction and overcoverirg of additional land generating inCTeased surface water runoff. The nearest drainage course is less than 20 feet from the edge of the property. A narrow bridge with culvert occurs near the northwest corner of parcel 1-. A: Exposure of people and property to geologic hazards. The, site lies about a mile west of a fault system of the Foothill Shear Zona. Moderate intensity earthquakes can be expected in the future. 3h: Clearance has yet to be received from the Health Department for sewage disposal and domestic water supply for .each parcel. 13c: Second Street is about a 1.2 foot wide paved road at present:. The Public Works Department indicates that some improvement to Second Street'may be in order. Widening Second Street from the project site to Lower Honcut Road may be appropriate. Such widening would be 4 to 8 feet of additional pavement. 14: This pr6ject will 'increase the lemand for various public services at an outlying location.
