This department has received a complaint. alleginghealth and/or safety hazards at the above -referenced property.
Butte County Assessor's records indicate that you own or control the property.
On March *20, 2003, an inspection was made regarding the complaint and the following condition was observed
which is in violation of the California Code of Regulations Title 25, Section 17920.3 (a) 6, 13, 14; (b) 2, 6, 8; (d);
(f) ; which pose health and safety hazards to the occupants and render the dwelling substandard.
This letter is your thirty (30) day warning. letter to correct or abate'the following violation:
Lack of adequate heating.
2. General dilapidation or improper maintenance.
3. Sewage over flowing onto the ground.

5. Holes in living room and hallway ceilings.
6. Wood fireplace installed without permits and inspections.
7. Exposed electrical wires at laundry room and open splices at electrical sub -panel and at well pump.
8. Water heater compartment flooring rotted out, water heater falling through the floor.

This section adopts the State Housing Law. You are in violation of maintaining a residential building not
meeting the minimum standards.

In order to comply with the Butte County Code and State Housing Law, you are hereby requested to
immediately contact the Department of Development Services, Building Division at (530) 538-7541 to
obtain the necessary permits and inspections to bring your residential building within minimum standards.
Butte Counly Code, Chapter 26,. Section 26-6(b) - Unsafe for Human Habitation.
This dwelling has been posted by the Butte County Department of Development Services, Building
Division as unsafe for human habitation. There are numerous conditions existing which are in violation
o f the State Housing Law and the Health and Safety Code.
It is unlawful to occupy this dwelling. It shall be vacated at once and remain vacant until clearance to
occupy isreceived from the Butte County Department of Development Services, Building Division.
It is a misdemeanor to occupy this building, or to remove or deface this notice. Butte County Code
Section 26-6 (b). Failure to vacate this dwelling as required by law will result in legal action through the
District Attorney's Office - I
At the time the above -referenced property becomes vacant, it shall not be occupied until all violations are
corrected.
It is the County's goal to obtain voluntary compliance with the California Health and Safety Code. However, you
should be advised that Butte County has an active code enforcement program which provides an effective means
of enforcement. A re -inspection will be made to determine compliance. If voluntary compliance with this notice
is not accomplished *by correction of the above -referenced violations, enforcement may be pursued through the
issuance of a citation to appear in the Butte County Municipal Court.
Upon conviction and per Section 41-7 of the Butte County Code, violators may be fined and a Notice of Violation
may be recorded which include a description of the action necessary to correct the violation.
Furthermore, failure to comply will result in the Franchise Tax Board being notified of your non-
compliance. You. will then be prevented from claiming state tax deductions for iaxes,- depreciation,
amortization, or interest expenses connected. with the property as long as it remains substandard.
This notice is given to you pursuant to Section 24436.5 of the California Revenue and Taxation Code.
To comply with the California Code of Regulations Title 25, Section 1704 (a); (b) 4, 8; (c) 2, 4; (f) 4; (h) 1;
you must obtain all required permits for repairs from the Butte County Department of Development
Services, Building Division, 7 County Center Drive, Oroville, California.
You have thirty (30) days to voluntary comply with the above -referenced directions. Should you have any
questions concerning this matter, please contact me at 538-7601 Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

on such a permit. Building permits are not required to be signed by property owners unless they are personally
performing their own work. If your work is being performed by someone other than yourself, you may protect
yourself from possible liability if that person applies for the proper permit in his or her name.
Contractors are required by law to be licensed and bonded by the State of California and to have a
business license from the city or county.'They are also required by law to put their license number on all poprinits

County Code at the above referenced location as follows:

Planning Department approval for the motor home or travel trailer' is
also required in an MR Zone.

Re: Your letter of Sept. 27.1989 concerning Israel Medina,
AP# 28-17-151 .
I have this day applied to the health dept. for the construction
of a septic system on the above parcel.
Mr Medina will construct this system before applying for the MH
and Utilities permit.
He is aware of the fact that he needs to comply with the Counties
codes but is financialy only able to proceed with one item at a
time.
As I live in the vicinity and am doing his septic, I will keep
impressing on him to stay in complyance and that it is in his
interest to get these items taken care of in the shortest time
possible.
I trust 'hat this step will be considered the beginning of the
required complyance and further action by the county will be
avoided.
Kindly inform me if other requirements exist.
