Dear Mr. Smith
This department received a complaint alleging health and safety hazards at the above referenced
living unit. On October 12, 1999 an inspection was conducted by this department. The owner
(Margret Alice Macy ) and tenants are not currently occupying the structure. The structure at this
site has numerous electrical hazards including but not limited to open conductors and conductor
splices, unprotected conductors, and a lack of proper grounding and bonding. The Building has
been posted by this Department "Unsafe For Human Habitation".
As the Chief Building Inspector for Butte County, I am requesting that the electrical and gas to
the structure referenced above be disconnected until appropriate actions are taken to resolve the
hazards. Further, I request that the electrical and gas service not be reconnected until an
authorization from this Department is granted to do so. This letter shall also serve as notice to the
property owner and t6ants that the electrical and gas service is to be disconnected on or about
Friday October 15, 19'99.

This is a courtesy notice to notify you that you are in violation of the
Butte County Code, as follows, at the above -referenced location.

Failure to obtain the required permits, inspections and approvals from
this office� for installation of a travel trailer. . Occupying travel
trailer without the required'appf6vals-.
Since the -additional living unit is not permitted in the A-5 zone, the travel
trailer must be removed from the property immediately or the occupancy and
use must cease and desist immediately and the travel trailer be placed in
dead storage.
It is the County's goal to obtain voluntary compliance with the Butte County
Code. However, you should be advised that Butte ' County has an active Code
Enforcement Program which provides an effective means of enforcement if
voluntary- compliance is not obtained. Enforcement may be pursued through
the issuance of* citations, fines.and the recording of a Notice of Violation
including a description of the action necessary to abate the violation.
You have thirty (30) days to voluntarily comply with the above directions
or to,present an acceptable plan for abatement or corrective actions to
be taken by you. Should you have any questions concerning this matter,

Section 41-2, we sent you a courtesy notice dated November 2, 1995 notifying
you -that 'you are in violation of the BCC at the above7referenced location.
As -of this date, the following violations still exist:
Failure to obtain the required permits, inspections and approvals from
this office for installing -and occupying travel trailer in violation
of the Mobilehonie Parks Act -of Title 25, California Code of Regulations
adopted by Section 28A-1 of the Butte County Code as follows:

(b) 1018 -Inspections Required for any Plumbing or Electric
Placed a traveli trailer on your property in violation of the Zoning
Code as follows:
(a) Butte Count; Code Section 24-72 does not permit 'mobile unit less
then 500 sq.1ft. for living in the A-5 zone.
The 'above violation shall be corrected or abated by ceasing and desisting
occupancy or use of �the travel trailer and removing it from the -property
or converting it to dead storage.
This is your final warning. Unless you contact this office and make the
proper arrangements to correct or abate the violation(s) voluntarily, within
ten (10) days from the date' of *this letter, enforcement shall be pursued
through the issuance of a citation (ordering you to appear in court) for
said violation(s) and 'for failing to comply with this warning letter.
