Butte County Code at the above referenced location as follows:
Constructed 8-10 agricultural buildings.
Since agricultural building exemption permits are required for the above
work, please contact this office within ten days of the date of this letter,
apply for-the.required permits, and pay the appropriate fees.
Please be aware that Butte County has entered into a Code Enforcement Program
that seeks voluntary compliance with the Butte County Code but provides
an effective means of enforcement if such compliance is not obtained. If
voluntary compliance is, not obtained, enforcement will be pursued through
the issuance of citations, fines, and the recording of a Notice of Violation.

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Cook:
On a recent date, an inspection was made of two dwellings located at
1264 and 1266 12th Street, Oroville, California. The property is identified
as Assessors Parcel Number.30-13-2 13, and you are listed as the assessed owner.
At the time of the inspection, the.following conditions were observed that
are violations of California State Housing Law:
1264 12th Street
1. -The heater was inoperable.
2. The hot water heater was improperly installed and vented and was not
provided with an approved pressure and.temperature relief valve.
3. The kitchen range was not provided with the required vent.
4. The bedroom and hall light fixtures were not secured and there was
evidence of an electrical short in the bedroom fixture and/or fixture wiring.
5• The front and rear steps and porch were weak and deteriorated.

1. The hot water heater was improperly installe&and vented and was not
provided with an approved pressure and temperature relief valve. There was evidence
of a . poor combustion problem.
2.. The kitchen sink trap leaked.
3. Electrical outlet covers were missing.

9. The side porch was not provided with steps or safety rail.
To comply with California State Housing Law, you are directed to correct thew
above conditions in the following manner within 30 days of receipt of this letter.
1. Properly install and vent the hot water heaters and provide each with an
approved pressure and temperature relief valve. Each how vater heater must be in
safe working condition.
2. Provide approved. -and adequate heaters in proper workirg condition for
each dwelling.
3. Provide an approved vent for the 1264 12th Arewt kitchen range, or
replace. the range with ons ---that does not require a vent.
4. Do electrical clean up work as necessary to provide safe electrical
systems in proper working condition. The work must include the proper securing
and wiring of the loose light fixtures and the replacement of missies electrical
outlet covers.
5. Correct the leaking 1266 12th Street sink trap.
6. Replace the 1266 12th Street broken wiadow.
7. Repair or replace the 126612th Street leaki7 water pipes.
8. Repair or replace the porches and steps as necessary to provide safe steps
and porches in minammm compliance with California dttate Housing Law.
Permits will be required for most of the above work. These may be obtaiwwd
from the Butte County Department of Public Works, 7 Ccl= y Center Drive, Cron ille$
California.
