the required permits to make corrections and complete project and pay the
appropriate fees.
All work must stop until these permits are issued and you are authorized
by our field inspector to proceed. This field authorization cannot be made
until the existing work is inspected and approved.

With reference to the above subject, our records indicate that your
building permit expires on the above date and your permit falls into the
category marked below:
1XI Permit work started, but not completed. Permit may be renewed
for 1/2 the original building permit fee (plus a $20.00 filing
fee). The renewal permit will extend the building permit for
an additional year from the original expiration date. Should
you not renew your permit within 30 days of the expiration date,
all work must cease until a new building permit has been issued.
For -your convenience, we are enclosing a renewal application form
and owner -builder forin-to be. completed and signed by you where
indicated and returned to this office together with the fee
shown. Please return all copies of the application form.
No inspections have been made on permit work. Inspections are
required to verify code compliance. We are unable to renew a
permit where the work has not been started and inspected prior
to permit expiration. After,expiration of your permit, no work
may be started until a.new permit has been issued. -

The followina work is to be performed by licensed contractors and/or
the homeowner for the purpose of bringing the subject property, which
has been found to be substandard, into compliance with local
housing/building codes and regulations. The contractor or owner, in
the case of an owner performing his/her own work, shall. be responsible

1 . PERMITS
A copy of the building permit will be required BEFORE construction
begins and shall be provided by the contractor. The cont.ractor will
secure all necessary permits to comple.te the entire project and must
submit to the local entity a signed -off building permit at the
completion of the proj6Ct.
IT IS THE CONTRACTOR'S RESPONSIBILITY TO ASCERTAIN, OBTAIN, AND
MAINTAIN RECORDS OF ALL REQUIRED PERMITS.
2. DOMPSTER SERVICE
Provide dumpster service or daily removal of construction debris for
duration of contract. Premises to be left in a broom clean condition
on.a daily basis.
3. SMOKE DETECTORS
If the value of this bid exceeds $1,000, smoke detectors will be
required in each sleepin.- room and in each hallway leading to sleeping
areas and on each f loor. Smoke detectors shal I be hard wired and
interconnected with battery back up in areas of new work and may be the
battery type in other areas that are existing.

sheathing over residence. Remove all nails or pound flat. All holes
over 1/2" in diameter shall be covered with metal flashing.
As required, install new structural I grade .1/2 -inch CDX plywood or
douglas f ir standard -or ' better sheathing over ent ire roof area.
Sheathing shall have solid bearing under all edges of overhangs. No
nails or staples shall penetrate sheathing in exposed overhang areas.
Nail and space as per manufacturer's specifications.
Provide and install flashing to match shingles and vents. All exposed
plywood edges to be protected by metal angle strip having a 2 -inch
minimum overlap at splices. All corners of required metal a.ngle
stripping to be cut on top and bent around corner to form continuous
protection. All metal angle strips to be top -nailed only'.

b. Provide and instal 1 a 240 lb, 25 -yr, Class "A" f ire- rated
fiberglass composition roof shingles per manufacturer's specifications.
Install over a layer of 301ur non -perforated roofing felt.

saddles and or flasbing/ed.-e strips. Replace all gutters and
downspouts.

Kraft paper. Tape and sand smooth all joints. Use fiberglass tape on

Provide and install a new 60"x3O"xl5" high acid resistant, white
porcelain cast bathtub. Connect to existing wastes with new waste and
overf low assembly. -
Provide and instal I a new chrome -plated brass esc'utcheons and spout
with automatic diverter, and 1/2" diameter shower arm tree, and 2 inch
diameter shower head at location indicated below. Connect water supply
to existing hot and cold water supply line. All new work to be in

copper. Use Delta or equal fixtures.
Provide and install a cultured marble or formica tub surround. Apply
mildew resistant, silicone caulking. Provide and install a soap dish

national electrical codes for replacements. Reconnect existing
circuits to new panel. Balance Io*ads for existing circuits.
New circuits: GFCI breaker of the same amperage o:n circuits feeding
the bathrooms, kitchen counter outlets, one in garAge, one in laundrNi.
and any exterior outlets; a -10 amp circuit breaker for the laundry
outlets, one 30 amp 240V for the water heater (if existing); one 50 amp
240 V for the:stove; four 15 amp I2_0V lights/general purpose; three 20
amp 120V dedi'cated for the kitchen; one 20 amp 120V general purpose,
outlet circuit; two blank spaces.
Provide and install No. 8 bare copper hard drawn -=round wire from the
grounding terminal of the service entrance box and fastened to the
