The tenant is being evicted and was ordered by a judge to move out by the 15th of this month. Mr. Lara said that the patio and fireplace would be removed after the tenant moved out. I told him to let us know when this was done and we would inspect to verify. I gave him my business card and wrote a note to the owner on the back that Mr. Lara had been in to see me. They will call by the end of this month. The C-2 (General Commercial) zone, (Section 24-105), does not "specifically authorize" large accumulations of junk. The storing of more than 100 square feet of "junk" on a parcel is one of the items used to determine that a "junkyard" condition exists. A "junkyard" is not an allowed use in the C-2 zone. "Automobiles and other vehicles, dismantled, in whole or in part" are considered to be "junk".
