The Butte County Assessor's records indicate you are the owner of the property. On April 15, 1988, I visited the property and the tenant allowed me to inspect her mobilehome. The following conditions were observed which are in violation of the California Administrative Code, Title 25, Chapter 2, Subchapter 1, Section 1504, Section 1640 (a)(8), (c) (1 thru 7) and (h) (1 thru 4) ; and Section 1704 (b) (1) , (e) (1) (4) , (f)(4), (g)(1), and (h)(1); and which pose health or safety hazards to the tenants, and render the mobilehome substandard and unsafe for human habitation. 1. Room addition on north side of mobilehome had roof blown off and interior is open to elements. 2. Room addition walls are not supported. 3. Bathtub enclosure has holes and is not weathertight. 4. Bathtub faucets cannot be shut-off and leak constantly. 5. Bathroom wall heater is not secured to wall and is located so shower curtain is in contact with front of heater. 6. Electrical wiring has open splice in water heater compartment. Wiring is exposed in switch by sliding door to room addition. Kitchen wall receptacles are inoperative. 1 Lincoln Hilst SS April 22, 1988 Page 2 7. Window is missing in rear exit door. Window is broken in living room. 8. There is no gas shut-off for water heater. P.G.& E. notified tenant that water heater is unsafe. 9.. Front stairs lack proper handrails. These conditions shall be corrected as follows and within THIRTY (30) DAYS from receipt of this notice. Obtain required permits for mobilehome repair from the Department of Housing and Community Development, Division of Codes and Standards, Northern Area Office, 6007 Folsom Boulevard, Sacramento, CA 95819, (916)445-0135. Obtain permits for room addition and stairs from the Butte County Department of Public Works, 7 County Center Drive, Oroville, CA, prior to making repairs. 1. Reconstruct room addition on north side of mobilehome.• Replace missing roof. '2. Reinforce room addition' walls and supports. 3. Replace badly damaged bathtub enclosure, making walls waterproof. 4. Repair or replace defective bathtub faucets, eliminating leaks. 5. Properly install bathroom wall heater, and provide clearance from combustibles. 6. Eliminate open splice in water heater compartment. Provide cover plate and eliminate exposed wiring in switch by sliding door. Correct or replace inoperative wall receptacles in kitchen. 7. Replace missing window in rear exit door, replace broken window in living room. 8. Provide shut-off valve on gas service to water heater. Have water heater checked for safe installation and operation. 9. Provide proper handrails on front porch stairs. A reinspection will be made. Failure to comply will result in the Franchise Tax Board being advised of your noncompliance. You will then be prevented from claiming state tax deductions for taxes, depreciation, amortization, or interest expenses connected with the property as long as it remains substandard. This notice is given to your pursuant to Sections 17299 and 24436.5 of the California Revenue and Taxation Code.
