Dear°Mr. Mendonsa;
- The�Department, of Fish and Game (DFG) has reviewed the Elmo
and Bettie Killgore Tentative Parcel Map(TPM), a proposal t�
divide AP 3i-244--11 of 1.04 acres into parcels, of :0.23 and 0.84
acres+. Located. in Oroville the TPM 'has the Feather River as i'ts
east boundary.
Streams and their associated'•wetland habitats comprise one
of the 'most valuable eco8ystein8_ .Inaddition to obvious
watershed importance, streams support the, greatest' diversity of
plant and animal species (aquatic :'and terrestrial) of all inland
ecosystems. L Protection of streamside:corridars Prteots water
gxsalit, reduces,'ser3imentation, and provides a continuous habitat
for numerous species. To mitigate project impacts on the stream
ecosystem, the following measures are needed:
a Establish' a 100-foot na disturbance ,siabback along
the edge of the stream"channel bordering
AP 31-244-11. This may exceed the nondevelapmen'
setback described in note 5 on':the TPM. The
setback shouldcommence fromn the outside edge of
wetland/riparian vegetation; or bank-topwhichaver
