The 2" x 2" x 3/16" steel washers were not used to connect the 2x pressure treated sill to the concrete stem wall. To repair this situation the owner or contractor shall install the following - Replace round washers with 2" x 2" x 3/ 16" steel washers at all locations where possible. This can be accomplished at the entire rear wall of the house and a portion of the two end walls. 2. At the front of the house and end walls where a square washer cannot be installed from the anchor bolt to the sill plate. Install one Simpson FAP with ' three SDS 1/a x 3 1/2 Wood screws mfg. by Simpson located at each anchor bolt. The FAP shall connect the stem wall to the 2x pressure treated sill and shall be installed per mfg. recommendations.
