However, the Building Department does not have any applications that indicate an immediate plan to rebuild on this parcel. Therefore, we need clarification regarding the current status of the septic tank that served the home. Please send us a letter stating whether or not you intend to abandon the septic tank. If you do not intend to abandon the tank, submit to this department a description of how you intend to prevent access to the septic tank that is consistent with the requirements of California Health and Safety Code 115700(a). A copy of the pertinent sections of this code have been attached for your information You have thirty (30) days from the date of this letter to address and correct the above problem. This offense is citable at any time and needs to be expedited immediately. You will need to contact this office to obtain the necessary permits. If you have any questions concerning this letter please call me between.8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
