I can see no way to correct the situation other than removing the roofing and starting over with another roof application. Would you please contact this office at your earliest possible convenience and advise as to your intentions with regard to correcting the code violation. Glander JFG:dd Assistant Director cc: Dale McKendrick, Building Inspector June 19, 1975 T) Mr. Glander, I am requesting a hearing and or varience for the nailing on the roof of my house, permit #655 -75 - The reason for requesting this variance is that I was unaware that I was in violation at the time the work was performed, and during the course of this work, the building inspection department was aware of what I was using. I was not notified to stop. Therefore I do not feel all the blame for this error should lie with me. I have gone to great expense and time to put this type of a roof on and it doesn't stand to reason that I would try and get away with not spend- ing �P0.00 more ' on 'nails after I,b-Ive ;already spent over 43000.00 on the roof. I would also like,to show that'the way I have done this roof is superior too; t -he ',ninimum building code requirement'., I would also like.to state that tQ take this roof off would cause 'me a great -financial burden as it is a very expensive roof for the size building due to its shpne.
