The Commission waived the reading of the Staff Findings. The hearing was opened to the public. Carty Hedlind questioned the condition for a bond. Chairman Vercruse explained that it has been the policy of the Commission to require the bond. She explained about obtaining a bond and that the cost is not the full amount of the bond. Staff stated that the County has received several deposits rather than a bond and the interest accrued goes to the applicant. Mrs. Hedlind stated for the record that Carey Hedlind was the son, not the daughter. The applicant questioned the length of the permit and the cost of renewing it. Butte County Code Section 24-304 provides for removal of the mobile home within 120 days of tile time that it is no longer being Occupied pursuant to the code section. Of course, if the applicant removes this mobile home voluntarily, then the bond or deposit would be returned. Similarly, if t -he County removes the mobile home, then only charges actually incurred Would be reimbursed from the bond or deposit with the remainder being roturned to the applicant.
