implements, hay, grain, poultry, livestock, or other horticultural products. This structure shall not be a place of human

neer to determine the flood elevation at your property according to U.S.G.S. datum.
He then needs to place a marker on your property near the proposed building, write
us a letter stating location of marker, how he arrived at that elevation, and
what the finish floor level should be. We cannot issue your permit until we re-
ceive this letter.

Gentlemen,
The flood plain elevation at the subject property is taken as
193.92, U.S.C. & G.S. datum. The flood plain elevation was deter-
mined by adding 7 feet to the flow line of Commanche Creek as out-
lined in that letter dated November 22, 1989 to Butte County
Chief Administrative Officer Will Randolph from F.E.M.A..
My office conducted A field survey on November 10, 1993, using
Butte County B.M. #13 (U.S.C. & G.S. datum elevation 197.351).
We have determined that the existing ground at the subject site
is -at elevation 195.90 A temporary bench . mark ( the top of the
most southerly corner of the concrete slab supporting a metal
shed next to the proposed building site) is at elevation 196.00.
Based upon the: above information, we are recommending a finished
floor elevation of 196.40, which is 0.50 feet above the existing
ground and 2.48 above the 100 year flood plain.
