APN 040-120=028 Dear Mr. Vierra, Our firm has been asked by Mr. McLaughlin to move the Use Permit request forward, which requires a sewage disposal solution. We are currently assessing alternatives in compliance with County Code. The engineering firm working toward this end has proposed a solution that is financially not feasible for Mr. McLaughlin. We realize some time has passed since any activity in this regard was made and information as such sent to your office. I can only say to you our firm is now engaged to produce some results immediately. Currently, we see two viable options, one to propose a maintenance entity suitable to Butte County for Advanced Wastewater Treatment technologies currently in use in other jurisdictions. Butte County has yet to embrace these technologies due to the concern over high maintenance. This program is currently in discussion in several venues and will most likely not be available in a timely manner. Our other option is to find suitable sewage disposal capabilities on adjacent lands and acquire them for this purpose. A field visit is scheduled for March 7, 2004 to analyze possible sites. Thank you for your cooperation. We expect to report to your department again by Friday March 12, 2004. Sincerely, Michael G. Evans. EVN(fMIN, Mpg x(j . Cc: Y. Christopher, : Y M.
