A.P.=33-14 Gentlemen: P.E. July 5, 1990 Pursuant to the request of Mr. Tim Klick, I have investigated the flooding potential of the above referenced building site. The recently adopted flood insurance rate map indicates that this site lies within a special flood hazard area inundated by 100 -year flood from Comanche Creek. The base flood elevation has not been determined for this particular area. Therefore, it is not possible to simply reference the safe finish floor elevation to an established datum. Instead, it was necessary to analyze the general topography of the area inorder to determine the depth of flooding on the site in questicn. The site is located within the Rancho Robledos Subdivision and is surrounded by single family residences on 0.6 to 2.6 acre lots. Street drainage is -by shallow roadside ditch. Upon conducting a field survey and reviewing contour maps it was determined that any flooding that may occur in this area will consist of shallow, sheet flows less than one foot in depth.
