SUPPLEMENTAL STAFF FINDINGS!
During the previous Commis.§ion. hearing regarding the Chemtec. use
perml-t, questions. arose regarding the fire protection requirements
in the Southgate Past Industrial Park, where Chemtec 3".s located.
The tentative parcel map for Southgate I'last Industrial Park was
approved on Dec. is, 1980, WWI 12 conditions. Condition #11 was
to 'Weet, the requirements of the 'ROtte County Fire Department".
The Fire Peparttnents requirement was that a 10,000 gallon water
storage tcank be installed and piped to each of the four parcels.
Recently, a tentative parcel map wa! approved dividing one of-, the
Original four parcels into fourpardels. The Fite Department is
requiring that each of the new parcels provide a 10,000 gallon
water tank. The Chemtec property, therefore) is one of the three
remaining parcels which are to be served jointly by one 10,000
gallon tank.
Thbe,e sections of the Uniform Fire Code that the Five Department
is requesting the a plicant follow, are those regarding the safe
P
installation 0 f t1le fuel stotage tanks,
