on Southgate Acres Subdivision and
Southgate Acres Subdivision Unit #2
Dear Mr. Max:
The property owner, Drake Homes, is requesting a

variance to Section 1.0-9 of the Butte County code
relating to fences Within the 50 loot setback zone,
This variance is requested for the following reasons:
1. All affected lots face on to cul-de-sac
streets with their side yards adjacent
to Entler Avenue. The variance, if
granted, would not allow a fence to
eftc,roach into any adjacent front yard.
2. Adequate.site distance will be maintained
at all intersections.
3. The fence will be located 15 feet behind
the back of the sidewalk along tniler
Avenue, The area between the fence and
back of sidewalk will, be landscaped,
Setting the fence bac.lor, another 10 feet
would provide an excessibly wide strip of
land, which would be unusable and have to
be maintained at the property owner's
expense.
