The mobilehome on Pomona Lane was replaced with another mobilehome on a foundation Frith proper permits from this office and received ,final inspection and approval on August 1, 1990. During our telephone conversation, I discussed with you the current violation on your property -at 10007 Jones avenue, Durham.. You indicated the. agricultural conversion to living violation would be discontinued by the middle of July 1992. Since this violation has existed since December .1, 1990, the building must be completely converted back into an agricultural building by July 20, 1992 or we will request a. citation be issued. ' If, you propose to convert the agricultural building for some other legal use, -please contact this office, present plans, and apply for the necessary permits. The recently adopted flood insurance rate map indicates that this -site lies within a special flood hazard area inundated by 100 -year flood from Butte Creek. The base flood elevation has been approximated for this particular area based on an analysis prepared by the F.E.M.A. consultant and provided to us by the Butte County Department of Public Works. It should be noted that the consultant's- analysis was -based upon "the best available information at this time" which' included the U.S.G.S. quad sheets and is not a final design. Because the analysis ignored the existing levee system it is very conservative and is. acceptable as a reference until a more complete study is prepared. A temporary benchmark (southeast corner of the sidewalk at the southeast corner of the existing garage) has been set near the building site. The elevation of the temporary benchmark is 173.93. U.S.G.S. Based upon linear interpolation of the F.E.M.A. .consultant's cross sections, the finish floor elevation of the mobile home or residence shall be at elevation 174.91 or above in order to be above the 100 -year flood. Flood waters in this vicinity will be shallow sheet flows with low velocities and should have minimal effect upon mobile home foundation. AP No. 40-30-75 Gentlemen: At the request of Mr. Carstensen, I have investigated the flooding potential of the above referenced building site. The recently adopted flood insurance rate map indicates that this site lies within a special flood hazard area inundated by 100 -year flood from Butte Creek. The base flood elevation has been approximated for this particular area based on an analysis prepared by the F.E.M.A. consultant and provided to us by the Butte County Department of Public Works. It should be noted that the consultant's analysis was based upon "the best available information at this time" which included. the U.S.G.S. quad sheets and is not a final design. Because the analysis ignored the existing levee system it is very conservative and is acceptable as a reference until a more complete study is prepared.... A temporary benchmark (southeast corner of the sidewalk at the southeast corner of the existing garage) has been set near the - building site. The elevation of the temporary benchmark is 173.93 U.S.G.S. Based upon linear interpolation of the F.E.M.A. consultant's cross sections, the finish floor elevation of the mobile home or residence shall be at elevation 174.91 or above in order to be above the 100 -year flood.
