Provide a cased, 8 foot opening between the garage area and the storage area of this building:
This is needed in order to classify this structure as a garage by the Uniform Building Code. If you
separate these two areas then you have, by code definition, a garage and residential space. This
residential space will require an additional clearance by the health department, you must provide.

plans do not reflect these requirements. In addition, unless you specifically have the minimum
width of 2 feet, 8 inches for an alternate braced wall panel, you may not call this out on the plan.
Right front portion of this building does not have room for a door, a window and a braced wall
panel. Remove window to another location or provide a lateral analysis for this wall. Interior
braced wall panels are required through the building at 34 feet on center. Wall between garage
and clean-up area will not only require and opening but it must also be braced and provided with a
foundation. Person responsible for the plans must sign plans.
Provide blocking for all braced wall panels at Z -bar line. Note the plan.

maintenance of properties in conformance with these
standards and measures and to assure continued avail-
ability, access and utilization of the defensible space
provided for in these standards, annual maintenance
must be provide for by the land owner.
Driveway Standards
1273.02 Surface. All driveway surfaces and structures (bridges,
1273.07 culverts and other appurteaant structures which supple-
ment the roadway bed or shoulders) shall provide unob-
structed access to conventional drive vehicles, includ-
ing sedans and fire apparatus weighing up to 40,000
pounds.
