The deck beams are attached to the deck ledge with galvanized hangers and nails. I added that there is tar paper on the inside of the plywood sheathing. All the underneath structural support materials are pressure treated wood. All the decking and steps material is 2X6 Redwood CON • HT. The railings` area combination of 2X6 -' 2X4 Redwood CON HT and 4X4 Redwood CON HT for the vertical posts. 2. The support of the ,lower deck is by vertical 4X6 pressure treated posts on concrete piers on distances no greater than 6 Ft. The upper deck has been rebuilt on the existing 2X12 ca ntilevered'beams that extend out from the top floor. They are on 16 in. centers. 3. The anchorage of the decks`10 the house has been done using Deckmaster galvanized`4 in. screws, run through -either 2X6 or 2X8 pressure treated wood.
