This is not acceptable and must be removed. A geotechnical investigation report has been conducted for this "Casa Del Rey Subdivision". This report has a requirement that the foundation must extend to a minimum depth of 18 inches below the building pad or lowest surrounding finished grade level. Additionally, foundation excavations must be observed by a civil engineer prior to the concrete placement. New building plans, with the correct foundation depth, will be required. An observation report must be provided to the building inspector prior to the approval of the foundation. The exterior opening in the office area is shown as an 8050 and optional 6068 sliding.glass door. Indicate what size and type of opening will be used in this area. Optional openings are not allowed. Indicate the size and grade of the headers for the exterior openings on the building plans. The 2 x 4 c.j. @ 16" o.c. exceed the allowed span and will need to be revised.
