Re: Building Permit Number 02-2968 lArzrtN Response to Plan Check Comments Dear Philo: Submitted herewith are the following: • 3 Building Plan Sets (Re -submittal) stamped and wet signed • 3 sets of Structural Calculations stamped and wet signed Truss calculations will be submitted under separate cover. In response to structural comments dated 12/19/02 (referenced above) please note the following: • General: The subject residence has been designed under the guidelines of UBC Section 2320; "Conventional Light Framed Construction Design Provisions". Engineered shear wall lines have been added where required in order to satisfy UBC Section 2320. 1. Special Bracing (engineered wall lines) have been .added to the plans. Their location (interior and exterior), type and nailing is shown on Drawing 2. Holdown type and location is, identified on Drawing 4. 2. Typical door and window header sizes are called out on Drawing 5. 3. Garage door header size over the small, garage (picking up truss F) is identified on Drawing 2. ' Page two Philo Hunt, P.E. Re: Building Permit Number 02-2968 4. Span of truss B is correct. See front elevation on Drawing 3. 5. The referenced geotechnical report (Part 1 -Foundation Investigation) has been reviewed and used as a basis for design. Said report is referenced on sheet S0.0. Typical foundation details on Drawing 4 have been modified accordingly. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me at (530) 873-7731. Sincerely, Mark Wegener, P.
