Dear Ms. Hudgins:
It has come to our attention that .you have been filling a portion of the above referenced
property, which is within flood Zone A as shown on the Federal Emergency Management
Agency (FEMA) Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM) 06007C0485C. This area has experienced
flooding in the past and preliminary review of your grading to date indicates that it will
exacerbate the flooding problems. Butte County Code Chapter 26 Article IV (copy attached),
requires for agricultural operations that a demonstration be made that the grading will not
"increase flood levels upstream or downstream".
Stop all work until you have obtained the appropriate permit(s). Permit application information
can be obtained from Mike Vieira, Development Services, 7 County Center Drive, Oroville, CA
95965, phone (530) 538-7541.
