R.D. Miller, Rt. 1, Box 481-G, Chico, regarding his constructing an addition to his residence without obtaining the required permits. You wrote to Mr. Miller on October 11; however, to date:, he has not applied for the required permits. I'm not sure how you want to proceed. Possibly you should call Mr.. Miller into your Oroville office to show cause why we shouldit prosecute him for violation of the building codes. Would you please advise as to how you would like to proceed with this matter. Glanders Assistant O Director of the` Department of Public Works$ regarding the construction of an addition to your residence at the above address without obtaining the required permits from the Public Works Office, Mr. Glander has furnished us with a copy of his letter to you dated June 26; 1968, and has advised that you have not yet complied with the request contained in that letter. Our only concern in matters of this.type is to assist the public agencies charged with the administration of the law; and see that the law is complied with.
