ANALYSISt
This project is a proposal to place a sigh approximately 45 feet
from the centerline of State Ilwy. 32, ;on property zoned M-1,
located at the northwest corner of Ilwy. 32 and Freight Lane; Tile
sign is V-shaped, with the furthest intrusion of the 'IV" Leine
approximately 2 ft. 8 inches high, and 45 ft. from the centerline
of Hwy. 32. The end posts of the sign will be located approxi-
mately 52 ft. from the centerline of Ilwy. 32, and will be a maximum
of 4 ft. high-. A flagpole is proposed on each of the two end posts.
Because of the limited height of the proposed sign, site distance
at'the intersection of Freight Lane and I-bly. 32 should not be a
factor. As such, this project would not be detrimental to the
integrity of the neighborhood or other property in the area.

A. Note that this project is categorically exempt from environmental

Code Section 24-10 and Section 10-10; and:

commission whenever the commission determines that removal,
relocation or modification of the encroachment is necessary
to maintain adoquate traffic safety as a result of any
changed condition or of any public right-of-way acquisiton
or improvement project. .

The hearing was opened to the public,
Priscilla Montgomery, representing Ann Whipple, was present to answer any
questions by the Commission
The hearing was closed and comments confined to the Commi-sion 4 staff.
Commissioner Lambert saw no problem with this project. That this would be
an advantage, that the sign is hard to see as it is now situated.
A motion was made by Commissioner Lambert
for approval as follows: econded by Commissioner Behunin,
