The Butte County Planning Department has completed the environmental review of your
project in accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act and forwarded to the
Butte County Advisory Agency within the required 105 days pursuant to the California
Public Resources Code Section 21151.5. In addition, the Planning Director's report
required by Sections 20-63 and 20-99, of the Butte County Subdivision Ordinance has been
completed: Please find enclosed, the Planning Director's Report which has been prepared
for your project.
Please review the enclosed Planning Director's Report With conditions of approval if
applicable, If you note any errors or omissions in our evaluation, please bring them to our
attention.
The Planning Director's Report for your project has been sent to the Butte County Advisory
Agency for their action. California Government Code Sections 65950 and 65952.1 requires
the Butte County Advisory Agency set hearings and approve or disapprove your project
within six months from the date on which your application was received and accepted, The
six month time limit for your project mandated by state law, will occur on. April 14, ,1991.
The Advisory Agency will notify you of the time and place of the public hearing for your
project.
If there are modifications to your proj'wto, not related to mitigating an identified impact,'

This is a proposal to modify the boundaries of two existing parcels. The: present zoning
is SR and R-4 The Land IJse Plan Map of the Butte County General Plan desi,,nates this
area as Medium Density Residential, The proposed, BLM is also located within the Chico
Area Land Use Flan:
The proposal does not conflict with County zoning, nor any adopted or proposed element
of the Butte County General Plan not any County, Specific or comm"tnity plan. However,
the proposed BLM will create two parcels with less than desirable lot, configurations pnd
create portions of two lots which will not be very functional, Lots 3B, 4A, 4B, and 5A as.
shown on the nap are very small lots of a little over 40000 square feet. Approving the
BLM would create small corners on Lots 3B and 5A making an area of ten by ten feet.
Such an area would be a nuisance to manage and would be difficult to make productive use.,
of;it. Reasons .atedfor the BLU was to provide more space for aback pakici on Lot 411,
Such a reason does notseemcompelling to allow a BLfd, when doing so, will destroy the
geometry of the existing subdivision and create space which will not enhance overall
property values.
The proposed boundary line modification is categorically exempt from the requirements of
the California Environmental Quality Act puesuant to the Public Resources Code Section
15305 (a) which reads as follows;
15305: Class 5 consists of minor'alterlttions to land use limitations in areas rivitil an
average slop-of less than 20% which ,do not result in any changes in land Ute or
density; including but not liolted to
