dated 8-21-96, and I would like to provide the following clarifications.
Regarding item 2 of the plan, check list. The alternate braced wall panels at the
master bedroom and the garage will .be as shown on the county standard detail for
alternate braced wall panels.
Regarding item 4 of the plan check list. The typical steelat the holdown, panels
will be #4 rebar top and bottom continuous beneath the holdown and a minimum of 6'
beyond the holdown at each end of the panel. The typical steel'. is shown on the detail on
page 2. of this letter.

dated 8-21-96, and I would like to provide the following clarifications.
Regarding item 3 of the plan check list The 4' braced wall panel located on the
left end of the braced wail line is within 6' of braced wall line A as shown on the
schematic plan. 'Phe pop-out beyond line A is not a part of the bracedrwall system, so
It is okay that the 4' panel on line 2 is located 10' away from tate pop out. I feel that the
braced wall layout is consistent with the intent of the building code, and I am comfortable
with the braced wall locations shown on this plan..
