BUILDING PERMIT APPLICATION WITHOUT REQUIRED CLEARANCES
I request and authorize the Building Division to process this building permit application through the plans
examination process WITHOUT first obtaining all necessary, related permits and clearances from other
regulatory entities, including but not limited to, Planning, Environmental Health, Land Development,
County Fire, and Agriculture.
I hereby acknowledge:

clearance to the Building Division as soon as clearance is obtained

The Building Division will process the application through the plans examination process, as submitted,
without input from other regulatory entities that could prohibit issuance of the building permit or require
submission of amended building plans to the Building Division. Once the plans examination process
begins, there will be no refund of plans examination fees. Any changes requiring submission of amended
plans to the Building Division will incur additional fees.
Within one year from the date of application for a building permit, all other required permits and clearances
from other entities must be obtained for the permit to be issued. Failure to obtain these permits/clearances
will void the application.
Typically other required permits/clearances include, but are not limited to, verification the parcel was
legally created, adherence to. all mitigations and conditions imposed on the parcel at time of creation, as well
as zoning requirements, legal access, and applicable set -backs and environmental issues (fire, agriculture
buffer zones, and habitat/species).

Dear Mrs. Jones,
With reference to the above subject and your request for inspection of the single family dwelling at 1281
East Avenue, to be moved to 794 Churchill Drive, the inspection was made October 10, 2000.
The dwelling was constructed prior to permit requirements, so we did not perform any inspections during
construction. We therefore made a reasonable visual inspection, without going on the roof, under the
building, or in the attic, and found the building appears to be in fair condition, considering the age. The
following items must be addressed in order to start the permit process:
1. Provide Environmental Health Department Clearance.
2. Provide plot plan of parcel building is to be relocated to.
3. Provide floor, roof framing and floor framing plans of existing building.
4. Provide foundation plan for new location.
5. Provide proposed floor plan.
6. Final permit # 95-1704 (carport ).
7. Comply with any items identified during plan check.
8. Contact City of Chico regarding any permits that may be required for demolition or moving of the
building.
Electrical will be required to be upgraded to the 1996 National Electrical Code standards. Dry rot will also
need to be repaired as encountered.
Please submit complete plans in triplicate to this office including plot plans, foundation plans, floor plans
and structural details, apply for the required permits,. and pay the appropriate fees. This permit must be
obtained prior to any work being done.

This is a courtesy notice to notify you that you are in violation of the
Butte County Code, as follows, at the above referenced location:
Failure to obtain approval of prevoius corrections and failure to obtain
final inspection prior to use and permit expiration for construction
of carport.
Since permits and inspections are required for the above work, apply for
the required permits to make corrections and complete project and pay the
appropriate fees.
All work must stop until these permits are issued and you are authorized
by our field inspector to proceed. This field authorization cannot be made
until the existing work is inspected and approved.
It is the County's goal to obtain voluntary compliance with the Butte County
Code. However, you should be advised that Butte County has an active Code
Enforcement Program which provides an effective means of enforcement if
voluntary compliance is not obtained. Enforcement may be pursued through
the issuance of citations, fines and the recording of a Notice of Violation
including a description of the action necessary to abate the violation.
You have thirty 30 days to voluntarily comply with the above directions
or to present an acceptable plan for abatement or corrective actions to
be taken by you.
